The Juniors sat down with few expectations to watch “Sky High”… and were not disappointed. Meanwhile the Seniors, on a higher cultural level altogether, went to the Questors production of Dickens’ “Great Expectations”… and were not disappointed either.

Well we were awash with sparklers and small children, the former thanks to John & Betsy who bought out the local shop’s entire supply, the latter thanks to all the families who came and brought their fireworks, their many children and their loads of lovely food.

While the Juniors sampled the great outdoors, hunting pheasants and building campfires in the Ashdown Forest, the Seniors opted for the great indoors, donning skates and bearing hockey sticks. Christian’s steadiness and Vinny’s speed compensated for Francis’ inexperience and Tim’s inability so the scores evened out in the end.

A Grand Planning Session brought many ideas (and some useful ones) from the combined brainpower of the Seniors and Dermot.
