Buses & Barbecues
After a mass turnout, a total of three teams ended up dashing around London’s landmarks, taking photos of themselves in each spot to prove they’d been there. The “Vaughan” team — Francis, Pierce and Beau under Vini-the-drill-sergeant made it round entirely on foot and mostly running (stopping only for a few brief purchases in Cyber Candy). They made it back to Westpark at 6.00 on the dot incurring no penalty points although they had tactically decided to miss one place out. The team led by Robert G returned late with the most bizarre story you’ve ever heard about a bus. Finally, Peter B’s team returned so late that they almost ran into negative points. (We never did find out what happened to them).
Vini’s team were the clear winners and were awarded some more sweets to add to their burgeoning collection. To round things off, Dan manfully set up a barbecue under a tree in the pouring rain and provided burgers, sausages and other burnt offerings. We finished off with armchair unihoc, at which Peter B and his friend Lawrence excelled.
