Bonfire Night (Sat 5th Nov 2005)
Thanks to everyone who turned up, both to help out in getting things ready, and to enjoy the party. Despite letting off fireworks pretty much non-stop for about an hour and a half, we still had a few spare at the end, by which time we felt everyone had had enough. We spent about an hour the next morning picking spent fireworks out of the garden! We also ended up with a jumble-sale’s worth of caps, gloves and coats, so if you’re missing any, come and look in the changing room in the club.
Thank you also to everyone who brought food — which was pretty much everyone. Special mention goes to Ella O’Donnell’s Polish stew and doughnuts (whose real names escape me). If you missed them this time round, look out for them next time.
